Obituary of Linda Somers Winfree

Mrs. Linda Somers Winfree, 74, passed away on October 30, 2022 at the Mint Hill Medical Center in Mint Hill, NC.

Linda was born in Greensboro, NC on December 2, 1946 to the late Charlie and Lexie Somers. The family moved to Bryson City, NC, while Linda was in junior high school. She graduated from Swain County High School before moving back to Greensboro. She spent her early married years as a homemaker and mother. Later she enjoyed a long career with Guilford County Social Services where she made many lifelong friends. Linda enjoyed yearly trips to the beach. She also loved her dogs Sophie and Lacey who were her constant companions.

Mrs. Winfree was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years Bobby Winfree and her brother Ronald Somers. She is survived by her son Chris Winfree(Kim), grand children, Lindsey Winfree and Adams Winfree, sister Martha Brewer(Michael), and nephews John Brewer and Noel Brewer.

The family would like to thank The Blake at Baxter, The Post at Mint Hill, Hospice Charlotte Region, and Hospice Novant for her loving care.
