Obituary of Jerry Phillip Goode

Jerry Phillip Goode, 75, went home to be with Jesus Monday morning October 17, 2022 at Faith of God Ministries church.

Jerry was born in Forsyth County, NC on September 14, 1947 to the late Walt and Nancy Jane Rominger Goode. He was retired from the United States Postal Service with over 20 years of service.

Jerry was one of the founding members of Faith of God Ministries where he served as the pastor and trustee. Jerry loved his wife Kay, his children and his grandchildren. He to loved to be in church, to sing, and he loved to read his Bible. He loved to crack jokes and make others laugh. Above all else, Jerry loved people and he loved to help people however he could.

In addition to his parents, Jerry was preceded in death by his wife, Kay Frances Bowman Goode, who passed away Saturday morning October 15, 2022; and son Ricky Eugene Brown.

He is survived by his daughter, Molly Burgess; sons Bradley Goode and Jerry Philip Goode Jr.; 9 grandchildren, Ryan (Katie), Elliott and Hannah Bovender; and Gracie, Abbie, Lillie and Caleb Burgess; Alice Goode, and Brad Goode, Jr., 1 great grandchild Jamison Levan Goode; brother Danny Goode; and sisters Mary Ruth Holcomb and Janie Bowman.
