Obituary of Patricia Ann Nelson

Patricia Ann Nelson, 78, went to her Heavenly Home on Tuesday, September 27, 2022. She was the sweetest and most outgoing woman, who never met a stranger.

A native of Forsyth County, NC, Patricia was the daughter of Walter Carvel Nelson and Bertha Mabel Parrish Nelson, both deceased. She was employed with First Union National Bank as a senior secretary for 12 years, before retiring from RJR Tobacco Co. with 23 years of service. Patricia attended Green Valley Baptist Church. She loved gardening, cooking, playing BINGO, as well as, watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune.

Survivors include her only daughter, Amber Dollarhite Williams; grandchildren, Brittany Butner (Clint), Ashley Nash, and Hannah Bunn; great grandchildren, Grayson, Lilly, Rylee, and Faylynn; niece, Michelle Dempsey (Stephen); two nephews, Mark Patterson, and Charles Patterson (Robyn)

In addition to her parents, Patricia was preceded in death by her late ex-husband, William Dollarhite; sister, Barbara Patterson; and two brothers, Edward Nelson, and Wayne Bryant.

Funeral services celebrating her life will be held 1:00PM Saturday, October 1, 2022, at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Services Kernersville Chapel with Wayne Dunn officiating. The family will greet friends from 12:00PM to 1:00PM Saturday prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory.
