Obituary of Helen Blaylock Snyder

Helen B. Snyder, 93, of Greensboro, North Carolina passed away August 14, 2022 at Carriage House Assisted Living in Greensboro, North Carolina. She was born on September 11, 1928 in Prospect Hill, North Carolina to the late Lester and Hattie (Carver) Blaylock.

She was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Gethsemane where she held many offices. Traveling was one of her favorite past times. She often admired the birds she saw and spent time at the lake with her family and friends whom she loved dearly. Her cats brought her great joy.

Helen is survived by her three daughters, Joyce Phillips, Janet Truitt, June Gerringer (Randy); grandchildren, Joe Phillips (Sharon), Jennifer Phillips, Ben Truitt, and Cody Truitt; one sister, Geraldine Oakley (John); and a host of nieces, nephew, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Herbert Snyder, and her brother, Curtis Blaylock.

The family will receive friends at Pierce- Jefferson Funeral Service, Lambeth Chapel on Wednesday, August 17, 2022  from 1pm - 2pm. Funeral services will begin at 2pm with Reverend Donnie Phillips officiating. Interment will be at Snyder Family Cemetery. Special appreciation to her caregivers, Tracey, Shay, and Deborah who took great care of her.
