Obituary of Dennis Ray Amos

Mr. Dennis Ray Amos, 83, of McLeansville, died Friday, July 8, 2022 at Moses Cone Hospital.

Mr. Amos was born January 26, 1939 to William and Lottie Amos. He served in the US Navy on the USS Forrestal CV59. He loved to be out at sea, watch baseball, and go on fishing trips in the mountains.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Jacqueline Amos; sons, Tim Amos, Don Amos, and Dwayne Amos; 2 granddaughters, Savannah Amos and Adrienne Amos; sister, Joy Hooper; and his beloved dog, Oliver.

A public visitation will be held from 6pm-8pm on Tuesday, July 12, 2022 at Pierce-Jefferson Lambeth Chapel. A graveside service will be held the following day on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at 2pm at Lakeview Memorial Park.
