Obituary of Ruby Ellen Williams

Mrs. Ruby Ellen Williams, 90, of Greensboro, died Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Moses Cone Hospital.

Funeral services will be held 12:00PM June 15, 2022, at Living Waters Baptist Church, with Tony Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Guilford Memorial Park.

Mrs. Williams was born June 6, 1932 to Burl and Mable Lewis. She attended Living Waters Baptist Church. She loved her family and was a diehard Duke fan. You were always welcome to come watch a game or sit on the porch.

In addition to her parents Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her husband of almost 70 years, Delbert Williams; her two sons, Larry Paul Williams and Wyatt Gray Williams; and her nine siblings. She is survived by her son, Grant Williams of Mebane; her daughter, Bobbie (Tom) Hardin of Colfax; her son, Dennis  (Barbara) Williams of Liberty; daughter, Phyl Gravitte of Crumpler; daughter, Violet Brady of Greensboro; 13 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren; her brother, John Lewis of Kansas; and her sister, Lea Nash of Staley.

The family will receive friends from 11AM to 12PM at Living Waters Baptist Church, prior to the service.
