Obituary of Buford Watson Hanson

Buford Watson Hanson was born 7 DEC 1943 in Greenbrier County, West Virginia. The son of Spicer Hanson and Glenna (Chambers) Hanson Stanley. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Deane Lackey, Mavis Tritt, Birtha Earleane Hanson, and Mary Heath; brothers, Bud Hanson, and Jim Hanson; and step-father, Charles Edward Stanley.

He is survived by his sisters, Ruth Taylor, Rebecca Stanley Schrader, and Roberta Stanley Taliaferro; and several nephews, neices, and cousins. He was employed in a clerical position with a trucking firm and was a resident of Kernersville, N.C.

Buford went to be with his Heavenly Father on 9 APRIL 2022 in High Point, North Carolina. The family is especially thankful to the staff at Hospice Home of the Piedmont for the considerate care shown to him, and to special friend Donna Haynes for all her help.

A graveside service will be held 1:00PM Thursday at the Old Greenbrier Baptist Church Cemetery, 301 N. Monroe Street, Alderson, WV 24910.
