Obituary of Miles McCoy, Jr.

Miles McCoy, Jr., 80, of Kernersville, NC passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 22, 2022.

A native of Bradshaw, WV, Miles was the husband of 57 years to Della Mae Stiltner McCoy and the son of Miles McCoy, Sr. and Alice Marie Robinson McCoy, both deceased. Miles was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was a faithful member of Shining Light Baptist Church, Greensboro, NC.

Survivors include his wife, Della of the home; two sons, Miles McCoy, III, of Lowgap, NC, and Michael D. “Mike” McCoy and wife, Jennifer of Beaufort, SC; and three grandchildren, Dustin Blake McCoy, Brooke McCoy, and Rowan Jones.

A memorial service celebrating his life will be held 2:00PM Saturday, February 26, 2022 at Shining Light Baptist Church, Greensboro, NC with Rev. Gary Blaylock officiating. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Gur Cemetery, Kernersville, NC.
