Shane Khemlani

Obituary of Shane Sunder Khemlani

Shane Khemlani, 46, of Kernersville, passed away on the morning of February 16, 2022, at his home. A lifelong resident of the area, Shane was born on November 17, 1975 to Sunder I Khemlani, Sr. of Clemmons, NC and to June Bostick Khemlani of Kernersville, NC. Anyone who ever met Shane could call him a friend. He was always willing to help and lend a hand no matter the circumstances. Shane lived life to the fullest through his family and friends including many outdoor activities like going to the beach for vacation and enjoying the back country, riding motorcycles, fishing, cookouts and campfires.

Shane started his career as a sous chef that supported his generous nature of feeding friends and family with some of the best southern fare consumed around a campfire. He would invite anyone to his “table”. Shane showed grand hospitality in food, laughter and companionship. You were always welcome at his house at anytime of the day or night.

Shane finished his career by running a small business specializing in plumbing for his beloved community. This allowed him the freedom to spend time with his most treasured possessions- his son Cole, his friends, his family, and his dog, Jax. He valued people over things and spent his time cultivating memories of laughter and fun.

He is survived by his parents, Sunder I Khemlani Sr. and June Bostick Khemlani. His only son, Cole Khemlani, his brother Sunder I Khemlani, Jr. of Greensboro, his step-mother, Beverly Khemlani, sister-in-law, Christy Johnson and niece, Samantha Khemlani.

He loved many wonderful, beautiful and vibrant women, but if he was here to write this himself, he would want mentioned that he loved Dana Hemric of Kernersville as his wife and Riley Hemric as his son.

A funeral service will be held at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at the Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home, 213 W. Mountain Street, Kernersville, NC.
