Jetta Selman

Obituary of Jetta Bernheim Selman

Jetta Bernheim Selman, 96, passed away in her sleep, February 6, 2022, in her home in Greensboro.

She was the matriarch of the family, and is survived by her daughters, Naomi Jean Bernheim and Renee Selman Levine; grandchildren, Adam Bryant Duke, Stephanie “Stevie” Levine, and Jessica Levine; and great-grandson Aiden Chester.

Jetta lived a full life having been a successful model in New York City and a successful business person with her husband, Wilbert Selman, in the apparel industry across several states.

As a mother, she was probably the most successful in raising her daughters, teaching them the values and the resilience of hard-work along with loving and caring.

She saw to it that her daughters were properly educated and graduated so as to provide them with the foundation for a successful future.

It goes without saying that Jetta always had the last word. She was open to your point of view but still had the last word. She will be truly missed as she has provided a strong foundation for her family.

There will be a graveside service where she is to be buried next to her husband on Tuesday, February 8th at 2:00 PM in Greensboro Hebrew Cemetery in Gate City Blvd, Greensboro, NC.

In her favorite words, “Don’t tell me” and “Do what”. We will love you forever.
