Obituary of Terri Lynn Batton

Terri Lynn Hancock Batton, 64, of Greensboro, passed away peacefully, Thursday, January 20, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. 

Born, December 2, 1957, in South Bend, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Robert Hancock and the late Ruth Harroff Hancock. Terri loved life and enjoyed her work with the elderly as an occupational therapist. She enjoyed spending time doing fun activities such as riding motorcycles, shooting guns, and exploring new adventures. Terri loved God and his word, she spent much of her free time studying the Bible and learning the scriptures by doing in depth research. She loved her family, and her presence will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Catherine Denette Hancock. 

Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Chris Batton of the home; daughter, Catherine Batton of Newport News, Virginia; sister, Lee Ann Land of Kokomo, Indiana; and a host of numerous extended family members and friends. 

A celebration of Terri’s life will be held at 1:00 PM on April 3, 2022 at the Sedgefield Manor, 3010 Lark Drive, Greensboro, NC, 27407.
