Obituary of Elizabeth Mae Chambers
Elizabeth Mae Chambers, 91, of Greensboro, passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021, at Ashton Place Health and Rehabilitation Center in McLeansville, NC after a lengthy illness.
Born, July 5, 1930, in Rocky Mount, NC, she was the daughter of the late Theodore Anderson and the late Mae Anderson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Robert R. Chambers, Sr., brother T. J. Anderson and sister Josephine Love, both of Burlington, NC.
Elizabeth graduated from St. Leo’s (Class of 1952) in Greensboro with a degree in nursing. Elizabeth spent her career as a registered nurse at Western Electric and then the AT&T Corporate Office in Greensboro.
Elizabeth was a devoted wife and loving and caring mother to her children. She is survived by her two loving sons and daughter-in-law Robert R. Chambers, Jr. (Judy) of Knoxville, TN. and Steven T. Chambers of Greensboro and nephews Steve Anderson (Amy) and Victor Anderson, both of Burlington.
Funeral Services to remember Elizabeth’s life will be held at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Lambeth Chapel at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 1, 2021. Funeral Services will be officiated by Pastor Mike Martin of Crusade Baptist Church located in Gibsonville, NC, where Elizabeth was a longtime member. Burial will follow the service at Lakeview Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Elizabeth’s memory may be directed to the Dementia Society of America.
