Obituary of Kim Odetta Barker

Kim Odetta Barker, 60, of Kernersville, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021, at Life Bright Community Hospital in Danbury.

Born, June 7, 1961, in England, she was the daughter of Eustace Barker and the late Ivonne Forde Barker. As a child, Kim enjoyed music and spending time with family and friends during house parties that they hosted on a regular basis. During her adult life, Kim was a keen student and worked earnestly to achieve her degree in business and finance, and even continued to obtain an additional degree in radiology. She was a very loyal friend to all those she knew, and even though she was an intensely private person, in her own quiet way she loved her friends and family deeply.

Left to cherish her memory in addition to her father are her brother, Ian Earle Barker; step-mother, Pauline Barker; step-brother, Roger Bowen; aunts, Marcia Forde, Maizie Barker; uncle, Cederic Barker; cousin, Alicia Barker; and special friends, LaVern Lamb, and Evelyn Cutting.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, November 22, 2021, in the mausoleum chapel at Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. A reception will immediatly follow the service at The Jefferson House, 225 West Mountain Street, Kernersville, NC 27284.
