Obituary of Ann Nichols
Bon voyage! Mrs. Rebecca Ann Stafford Nichols, 80, of Kernersville, has enjoyed many trips and on Wednesday, September 22, 2021, she left on her final passage. She is now whole and free in glory. Ann was born in Guilford County on February 4, 1941, to the late Harley Stafford and Muriel Tucker Stafford. Ann was preceded in death by her husband Jimmie Nichols. She is survived by her daughter, Lee-Ann Brewer Moseley (Matt), son-in-law, Mark Brewer; granddaughter, Adria Brewer Welch (Ethan); grandson, Corbin Brewer (Kara); sister, Patricia Stafford; brother, Gary Stafford (Sharon); brother, Ricky Stafford; niece, Shannon Melton (Jason); nephew, Chad Stafford (Erin); nephew, Kurt Stafford (Tammy); great grandsons Maddox Welch and Elliot Brewer and constant companion and dearest friend, Jesse Farrington.
Ann attended Colfax High School and after completed a secretarial degree. During her life, Ann was a secretary at Cone Mills Print Works, at a few other small businesses and retired from Bank of America. Ann was an adventurer who took over 30 cruises along with many trips abroad and in the USA. Did we say she loved games? She was fond of all who would sit at the table to play. Ann loved her church and dearly loved everyone she came in contact with there. She will wait patiently in Heaven to see them and her family when we join her there.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 25, 2021, in the chapel of Pierce Jefferson Funeral Service- Kernersville Chapel with the Rev. Steve Roberson officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 PM on Friday, September 24, 2021 at the funeral home. There will be a private burial ceremony following the funeral service at Friendship UMC Cemetery for the immediate family.
The family would like to thank the staff in the Salem Kidney Center, in Winston-Salem for their dedicated service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Shepherds Center, 431-B W. Bodenhamer Street, Kernersville NC 27284.
